Sophie Campeau

Ms. Campeau is responsible for the operations, cash management, financial projections and production of financial reports for the Foundation. She is also responsible for developing and implementing procedures and controls over the legal, compliance, investments and grant activities of the Foundation and its subsidiaries.


Prior to joining in 2011, Ms. Campeau worked for more than four years for Pentelia Capital Management Limited, an investment management company specializing in insurance-linked securities, as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. She was responsible for the valuation and investment processes, the production of financial reports, and the treasury functions. Prior to that, she was employed at Butterfield Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd., now Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services, for more than five years. While there, she was responsible for a large fund administration business unit that required overseeing the net asset value calculation process, the share registrar and all other financial services provided to hedge fund managers. She also worked as an external auditor for Arthur Andersen from 1999 to 2002.


Ms. Campeau is a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA) and a Member of the Bermuda and Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants, CPA Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction and a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University. She also has a Certificate in Company Direction with distinction from the London Institute of Directors.
