Benjamin Lucas

Mr. Lucas is responsible for investment management of the Foundation and its subsidiaries. This includes responsibility for properties, traditional and non-traditional investments, and liquidity and risk monitoring, group pension investments.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2009, Mr. Lucas worked more than five years as an Investment Manager at Butterfield Asset Management, where he managed four mutual funds, including Butterfield Select Alternative, Butterfield Select Fixed Income and Butterfield Select Equity. Mr. Lucas was responsible for portfolio selection, risk management and liquidity, and assisted with investor relations and marketing. Between 2000 and 2004, Mr. Lucas held a number of roles in Butterfield Fund Services and Bermuda Investment Advisory Services.

Mr. Lucas is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the Bermuda CFA Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dalhousie University.
