Sophie Campeau

Sophie Campeau is Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and Privacy Officer of the Foundation. In her role, she leads operations, cash management, financial forecasting, and the production of financial reports, while also overseeing the Foundation’s legal, IT, compliance, and grant-making activities across its subsidiaries. Ms. Campeau coordinates the Foundation’s worldwide tax planning and compliance programs and directs its legal and human resources functions, ensuring sound governance, operational excellence, and strategic alignment.

Beyond her executive responsibilities, Ms. Campeau serves as a Board Member of the Velcro Group of Companies, where she is also Co-Chair of the Audit Committee.

She joined the Foundation in 2011 following senior leadership roles at Pentelia Capital Management Limited, where she was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, and at Butterfield Fund Services (Bermuda) Ltd. (now Mitsubishi UFJ Fund Services), where she managed a large fund administration business unit. She began her career as an external auditor with Arthur Andersen.

A Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), Ms. Campeau is a member of both the Bermuda and Canadian Institutes of Chartered Professional Accountants. She is also a member of the CPA Bermuda Discipline Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction and a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University, as well as a Certificate in Company Direction with distinction from the London Institute of Directors.
